Tomorrow marks exactly one month until Christmas, and though it's beginning to rear it's beautiful face in small touches around my house I am in no way ready.
And so, in an attempt at being proactive I gathered the kids and together we came up with our Christmas Bucket List - all the things we want to do before the Big Day.
A lot of fun awaits!
We shall:
- Deck our halls!
- Sing Christmas songs.
- Bake cookies.
- Go tobogganing.
- Read the Nativity Story
- Go skating.
- Decorate the tree.
- Eat figgy pudding (Zander insisted on this one - I don't think he really knows what he's asking!)
- Write to Santa.
- Take treats to the neighbours
- Watch ELF (also LOVE ACTUALLY but that doesn't include the kids yet).
- Make snow angels.
- Drink hot chocolate (with whipped cream and sprinkles, of course).
- Snuggle by the fire.
- Build a big snowman.
- Read 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas'
- Put eggnog in our coffee.
- Decorate a gingerbread house.
- Have a snowball fight.
- Make homemade ornaments.

Neat. Can I come to your house to celebrate? (tongue in cheek, of course). Sounds delightful.
ReplyDeleteI think I have a very full month ahead of me...AND we've already thought of things we forgot on the list...Santa Claus Parade...winter bonfire...catching snowflakes on our tongues...
DeleteYou're missing "watch A Christmas Story". Rookie mistake.
ReplyDeleteCan I be completely lame and admit that I don't even know what 'A Christmas Story' is? I had to google it. I feel I have a good excuse though...growing up without a tv caused me to miss out on a lot of these and I'm still catching up all these years later
Deletelameness = revoked
DeleteYou need to watch that movie. It's a classic
